- Tendinosis: a degenerative condition that affects the tendons.
Other terminology might include: tendinitis, retrocalcaneal bursitis, Haglund’s deformity - Tendon Tear (full/partial/unspecified): an injury that occurs when a fibrous cord (tendon) that connects a muscle to a bone becomes overstretched or ruptured.
- Insertional Calcific Tendonopathy (ACIT): a condition that involves the deterioration of the Achilles tendon where it attaches to the heel bone (the calcaneus), leading to the formation of calcium deposits or bone spurs
- Non-Insertional Calcific Tendinopathy: a condition where the middle portion of the Achilles tendon becomes inflamed and painful.
