Getting Started: Adverse Events

  1. Two weeks after the treatment date, the patient will receive an “Unexpected Symptoms” survey. This will allow them to report on any symptoms or issues they may be experiencing that might be related to their treatment.
  2. Providers will receive notifications in the platform when an adverse event has been reported from a patient. Click into the Adverse Event tab on the left-hand side and the status will say “Needs Review” in red.

3. The survey will ask patients:
  • Problem Date
  • Issue Type: Body Part Treated
  • Issue: (Ex. pain, swelling, bruising etc)
  • Seeking Treatment: Provider
  • Patient Notes: “...”
4. The adverse event will then need to be adjudicated by the provider. This lets us know:
  • Seriousness
  • Expectedness
  • Relatedness
  • Additional comments/actions from the provider
